Bio
Jessica Vallance holds a PhD in Microbial Ecology from the University of Brest and has been recruited by Bordeaux Sciences Agro in 2012 as a Research Engineer. Her PhD focused on the biocontrol agent Pythium oligandrum and its influence on the dynamics of the rhizosphere indigenous microbial communities. Currently, her research activities focus on metagenomic approaches to study and characterize the microbial communities (bacteria and fungi) associated with two agro-ecosystems, grapevine and forest trees, for an optimal production and protection of plants.
