Global agricultural challenges

The challenges of modern agriculture go far beyond national borders: globalization of trade and markets, meeting future food needs, preserving natural resources, adapting to and mitigating climate change, regional development, etc.

BSA is the only agricultural engineering school located in Nouvelle Aquitaine, the leading agricultural region in France and Europe

This privileged position and the quality of its training offer have enabled the school to establish several international partnerships with prestigious foreign universities, thus allowing its students, teachers and staff to develop their international projects in the best conditions.

More than 70 international partnerships

BSA has over 70 international partnerships, 55% of which are in the European Union. These partnerships, which have an average duration of 5 years, are established on a reciprocal basis for exchange programs, which allows the exemption of registration fees at the host institution. Thus, any student wishing to come to Bordeaux Sciences Agro as part of an exchange program will be able to benefit from its teachings without paying any fees, while being able to have any prior learning recognized on their original degree.

Bordeaux Sciences Agro, by its size and profile, has demonstrated great resilience and adaptability. In spite of the health crisis that has swept the planet, the school has been able to maintain, adapt or reschedule many of the exchanges planned for 2020-21, which would not have been possible without the excellent communication that exists with its partners and their flexibility and benevolence.

The school has adapted to the new constraints of the Erasmus program and is already in the process of dematerializing procedures in accordance with the “Erasmus Without Papers” recommendations, which will undoubtedly facilitate cooperation with its European partners and encourage the development of future collaborations.
