From field to plate, in quality
The Feed & Food Department is one of the six departments at the school which, along with some twenty scientists and teacher-researchers, is involved in training future engineers capable of integrating all links in the food chain, thanks to three courses: the “Sustainable Animal Production” specialization, the “QSE and CSR Management of Agri-Food Companies” specialization and the “Food and Health Nutrition” specialization.
The vocation of the Feed & Food Department is to produce healthy, good and wholesome products, both in terms of breeding systems and foodstuffs. To achieve this, we need a number of skills.
These are linked either to product quality – sanitary, sensory and nutritional quality – or to the ability to manage quality, safety and the environment, or even to taking on responsibilities in terms of social responsibility: being able to keep abreast of regulations and competition, knowing how to sell products through marketing, and innovating through R&D and R&I.
We also have other proposals for continuing training activities. For example, through specialty certificates, which can be completed on our premises for one year in the final year, or through continuing education modules on request.
Professionals can also put their acquired experience to good use in our various training courses.
The expertise of the Feed and Food Department’s teacher-researchers enables us to respond to a number of issues you may face, particularly in terms of product quality, product characterization – particularly in terms of nutrition and health – product sensory evaluation and breeding techniques, but also in relation to QSE or RSE management in companies.
FarmLab #Food
Since January 1, 2024, the Feed & Food Department has had a brand new tool, a brand new food processing workshop, a new playground for our students, our teams and of course our partners!
The workshop will serve a triple purpose: to strengthen our teaching, to reinforce our expertise, and to strengthen our offer to professionals in the agricultural and agri-food sectors.
A great opportunity for future projects, meetings and collaborations.
