Biography

After completing my studies in agricultural engineering, I was recruited in 2001 as a teaching and research assistant at AgroSupDijon, where I worked until 2009. After completing my thesis in 2006 at the University of Burgundy (entitled: Elements of differentiation in the sensory quality of meat linked to breeding practices in Charolais heifers), I passed the competitive examination to become a senior lecturer in 2007. In September 2009, I requested a transfer to Bordeaux Sciences Agro, where I still work today. After defending my Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches (HDR) in 2018 (entitled: Multi-performance in meat production: modulation of breeding practices for an optimal compromise between animal efficiency, nutritional quality and sensory quality of meat in cattle), I passed the Professor competition in 2022. I was appointed Deputy Director of Research in February 2023. As co-leader of the RUMQUAL (Ruminant Quality) International Laboratory with New Zealand (AgResearch – Bioeconomy Science Institute), I had the opportunity to spend the 2024-2025 academic year in Palmerston North as part of the Smart Food team.
