Description
In a context of global change (climatic, societal, economic), the aim is to train forestry engineers with a wide range of skills, capable of meeting the challenges of a forest-wood sector in transition
These challenges require us to rethink our approach to guaranteeing the multifunctional role of forests. In this context, we need to understand how forest ecosystems function, to understand the needs of the forestry and timber industry and to meet to society’s expectations.
The program benefits from an exceptional academic and professional environment: three INRAE laboratories (ISPA, BIOGECO, ETTIS) dedicated to forestry and wood meterial, a Xylofutur competitiveness cluster, partnerships with all forestry and wood-related training programs in Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Campus des métiers et des Qualifications Forêt-Bois) and a large-scale professional network.
