The UMR ETTIS (Environment, Territories in Transition, Infrastructures, Societies) aims to combine skills in economics, sociology, geography, agronomy, political science, statistics, mathematics and engineering sciences to develop integrated approaches for studying socio-ecological transition trajectories and territorial adaptation to global change and inequalities.

The unit’s scientific project is structured around 3 research axes:

Area 1: Interdependencies and inequalities in tension

Area 2: Productive practices and spaces in transition

Area 3: Performance and quality of services faced with global change

It is based on 4 fields of application:

  • Agriculture and agro-ecological transition
  • Forest territories: multifunctionality and the bioeconomy
  • Coastal and river-estuary territories
  • Infrastructure
