Cité du Vin: Opening of an Exceptional Site

Description

Bordeaux Sciences Agro is located in a favoured geographic and economic environment. The exceptional land, the draw of the Bordeaux metropolitan area and the vitality of the wine industry are celebrated during the month of June with the inauguration of the Cité du Vin (city of wine). A leisure and cultural site unique in the world and dedicated to wine, this site’s atypical architecture allows visitors to have an immersive and sensory experience. Inaugurated in the presence of President Hollande, the Cité du Vin owes its unique architecture to the Parisian agency XTU and its staging to the British agency Casson Mann.

Permanent exhibits, temporary exhibits, events, shows, workshops and visits are offered to the curious and wine lovers.
In this new site, our viticulture and oenology students will find a new way of discovering the history and distinctive characteristics of Bordeaux vineyards.
